Foundation Class - Splitting/Filling/Crumb Coating & Icing A Cake

Foundation Icing Class

9.30am - 4.30pm

Cost:

£165.00 per person

All equipment, materials, refreshments and a light lunch will be provided

 

This class will teach you how to:

Ice a base board in fondant

Split, fill, level and crumb coat a 6" cake

Cover the cake  in fondant icing to achieve a smooth professional finish

Attach ribbon to the base of the cake and the base board

You will have a perfectly iced cake ready to take home to decorate.

This class will teach you how to:

Split, level, fill, and crumb coat layers of delicious cake

Ice the board with fondant

Make chocolate ganache to the right consistency for dripping

Decorate the cake with chocolates and truffles

Attach ribbons to the cake and the board

You will have a beautifully decorated cake to take home and share with your loved ones

Free form flower centres

Use cutters and veiners to create the flower petals

How to construct a sweet pea flower

How to add a calyx

How to dust and steam the flowers

How to tape the flowers together

Cup Cake Decorating Class - Button Flowers & Pin Wheels

Button / Flower Cupcake Decorating Class

This class will teach you how to:

Make buttercream and pipe perfect swirls

How to colour flower paste

Use flower cutters and moulds to create flowers, buttons and pinwheels.

You will have 6 beautifully decorated cupcakes to take home and share with your loved ones.

Use flower paste to create wired and un-wired petals and leaves.

Use petal cutters and veiners.

Colour flower paste.

Create an elegant sugar rose and leaves.

This class will teach you how to:

Split, level, fill, crumb coat and ice a square cake

Ice the board with fondant.

Colouring  flower paste.

Make a loopy bow with ribbon tails and curls

Attach ribbons to the cake and the board.

The use of various tools: ribbon cutters, piping nozzles and a stitching wheel.

You will have a beautifully decorated cake to take home and share with your loved ones.

One-To-One Tuition

If you prefer to learn at your own pace and would like to learn specific techniques then I offer one to one tuition at a rate of £300.00 per day including all materials and a light lunch.

 

For those wishing to share the costs with a friend the rate reduces to £150.00 each (limited to 2 people).
